Things You Need to Know During Injection Molding

In today’s society, most people don’t know much about it. Generally speaking, the injection molding process from plastic pellets to injection molded products requires a series of strict processes, and insufficient mastery of any of these processes will lead to product quality problems.

1. Rheology of plastics: How plastics flow, flow and change viscosity.
2. Purpose, operation and results of temperature, pressure, speed and cooling control.
3. Multi-stage filling and multi-stage pressure-holding control; the effect of crystallization, amorphous and molecular/fiber arrangement on process and quality.
4. How adjustments to injection molding machine settings affect process and quality.
5. Effects of internal stress, cooling rate and plastic shrinkage on the quality of plastic parts.

Nowadays, many parts of the product are inseparable from injection molding products, so the quality of injection molding products directly determines the quality, appearance and performance of molding products.
You need to know these things during the injection molding process
Among the various factors that affect product production, melt temperature and mold temperature have an effect on actual shrinkage. Therefore, when designing the cavity of a precision injection mold, in order to determine the molding conditions, it is necessary to pay attention to the layout of the cavity.

The molten plastic brings heat to the mold, and the temperature gradient of the mold is generally distributed around the cavity, in a concentric shape with the main runner as the center. Therefore, in order to reduce the shrinkage error between cavities, expand the allowable range of molding conditions, and reduce costs, it is necessary to take design measures such as flow channel balance, cavity arrangement, and concentric circle arrangement centered on the main flow channel. Therefore, the cavity layout of the precision injection mold used should meet the requirements for the balance and arrangement of the runners centered on the main runner, and the cavity layout with the main runner as the symmetry line must be adopted, otherwise the shrinkage rate of each cavity will be different. .

Of course, in the injection molding process, in addition to the influence of the injection mold cavity on the product molding, there are many other factors. Only when these specific factors are properly adjusted and dealt with in the production process can all aspects of injection molding be successfully completed, thereby ensuring production quality and realizing production benefits.
The mature injection molding process can produce plastic products of various uses and forms, such as components of electronic productssmall fitting parts, shells to protect important cores, etc.
