hydraulic handbrake
Principle of refitting hydraulic handbrake:
The professional name of the hand brake is the auxiliary brake. Different from the principle of the brake, it is connected to the rear brake shoe with a steel wire cable to brake the car. Long term use of the handbrake will cause plastic deformation of the steel wire. Because this deformation is unrecoverable, long-term use will reduce the utility and increase the travel of the handbrake.
The return spring is also used with the handbrake. When the hand brake is pulled up, the spring is elongated; The handbrake is released and the spring returns to its original length. When the handbrake is used for a long time, the spring will also deform accordingly.
Test:
1、 Listen to the "click" sound while pulling the car handbrake until the handle is pulled to the end, and then calculate the position of 70% of the total sound. This position is the effective working point of the car handbrake.
2、 Generally, the normal position is between five and seven squares. Then, check the efficiency of the car handbrake, that is, to see if the handbrake can work effectively.
3、 Drive the car to the slope with large slope and good road condition, step on the brake pedal, shift to neutral, pull the car hand brake to the working point just determined, and slowly release the brake pedal. If the car does not slide, it indicates that the hand brake has good efficiency. Or the car will slide slightly, but the sliding distance is very small, and the efficiency of the handbrake is normal.
4、 Uphill and downhill should be done once respectively. If it is found that the braking efficiency or sensitivity of the car hand brake is not ideal, it can be solved by adjusting the pull wire of the hand brake. You'd better not do it yourself. You should go to the maintenance shop as soon as possible and hand it over to professional maintenance personnel.
