The exhaust manifold is connected with the engine cylinder block to concentrate the exhaust of each cylinder and lead it to the exhaust manifold, with divergent pipelines. The main requirements for it are to minimize exhaust resistance and avoid mutual interference between cylinders. When the exhaust is too concentrated, the cylinders will interfere with each other, that is, when a cylinder exhausts, it happens to encounter the non discharged exhaust gas from other cylinders. This will increase the exhaust resistance and reduce the output power of the engine. The solution is to separate the exhaust of each cylinder as far as possible, one branch for each cylinder or one branch for two cylinders, and lengthen and shape each branch as far as possible – so as to reduce the interaction of gases in different pipes. In order to reduce exhaust resistance, some racing cars use stainless steel pipes to make exhaust manifolds.

The exhaust manifold shall take into account the engine power performance, engine fuel economic performance, emission standard, engine cost, matched front compartment layout and temperature field of the whole vehicle.

At present, the commonly used exhaust manifold can be divided into cast iron manifold and stainless steel manifold in terms of material and processing technology.We supply both OEM & performance/racing parts for different vehicle models for this item, We have around 300 models of performance or racing header /manifold /down pipe /cat back etc.
