The five important points of injection molding downtime maintenance before the Spring Festival holiday

Strategy 1: injection molding machine and mold protection
Clean the garbage and dirt in the hinge and wipe with rags.

Before the three-plate injection molding machine is stopped, the mold should be opened to a distance of 5-10 mm, so that the hinge (crank) mechanism of the mold locking machine is in a semi-straight state, and the hinge (crank) mechanism of the injection molding machine is in a stress free state, so as to better protect the mold and the mold locking mechanism.

The second plate injection molding machine should do a good job in mold opening and mold care. Before stopping, it should be lubricated once, especially for the moving plate. If the machine is stopped for more than 10 days, it is better to remove the mold to reduce the load on the moving plate.

For the all-electric injection molding machine, it is better to remove the mold and take separate care of the mold and the machine table template, so that the three screw rods of the mold lock, the ejector pin and the glue injection are in a relaxed state.

Strategy 2: Barrel cleaning
Before stopping the machine, clean the plastic inside the barrel, and use one of PP, PS and PE to clean the residual plastic inside the barrel. After cleaning, loosen the screw stroke to the maximum stroke. This can prevent the residual rubber at the screw head from burning, decomposing and carbonizing when the machine is turned on next time.
If the plastic used is ordinary transparent plastic or natural plastic, you can directly empty the plastic inside the barrel without cleaning.

If the plastic used is colored, V0 fire-resistant plastic, corrosive plastic and plastic with glass fiber must be cleaned with one of PP, PS and PE. The thermal insulation shall be set at 100 ℃, and the electric heating or main power supply can be turned off only after the actual temperature reaches 100 ℃.

Strategy 3: hydraulic oil cooler
Barrel cooling water ring and mold drainage
First turn off the power supply of cooling water tower, water tower outlet pump, water chiller equipment and mold heater equipment, and then do the following four drainage protection works.

Close the water inlet and outlet valves of the hydraulic oil cooler of the injection molding machine, remove the water inlet and outlet pipes, and use the air gun of the air compressor to blow out (discharge) all the residual water inside the cooler to avoid rust or oxidation inside the cooler.
Close the water inlet and outlet valves of the cooling water ring of the glue cartridge, remove the water inlet and outlet pipes, and use the air gun of the air compressor to blow out (discharge) all the residual water inside the cooling water ring to avoid rust or oxidation inside the water ring.
Close the water inlet and outlet valves of the mold (male mold/female mold), remove the water inlet and outlet pipes, and use the air gun of the air compressor to blow out (discharge) all the residual water in the water delivery system of the mold to prevent the mold core from rusting.
Finally, turn off the power of the air compressor equipment and release the residual air pressure.

Strategy 4: Electrical protection of injection molding machine
Before the holiday, please confirm whether the power switch of each injection molding equipment has been disconnected, and after turning off the power, clean the dust inside the electric box, remove the air inlet filter screen, clean it up and down with an air gun, and take waterproof and moisture-proof measures inside the electric box.

Generally, motors are air-cooled, and dust accumulation will cause heat dissipation difficulties, so regular cleaning is required every year. Use the air gun to clean the dust.

Strategy 5: Rat prevention
Finally, check whether the doors and windows of the workshop have been closed, and do a good job of rat prevention in the injection molding machine workshop to prevent rats from damaging the injection molding machine circuit.
